In short: business transparency helps a buyer understand a company's experience, terms and responsibility. It is worth disclosing information that answers their questions and that the company has the right to show. A public showcase, access on request and the internal archive should have different boundaries.
When a client chooses a contractor, a list of services is not enough. They want to know who has already worked on similar tasks, what is included in the offer and how the team acts when things change. A company can collect the answers in advance. The main thing is that the desire to look open does not lead to disclosing other people's information and unconfirmed claims.

Which buyer questions transparency answers
Useful disclosure starts with a question. If the buyer doubts your experience, show your role in a relevant project. If they fear the estimate will grow, explain how additional work is approved. If support matters to them, describe how to raise issues and the limits of responsibility.
The general slogan “we have nothing to hide” verifies nothing. Far more useful are an accessible version of the proposal, a clear package scope and a project with confirmed participation. Such materials can be discussed on substance, including their limitations.
What to keep in the public part
An open page is a convenient place to show areas of work, typical tasks, the scope of services and permitted examples. For projects, it is better to separate the task, the role and the result. If the client's name has not been approved for publication, do not place their logo for the sake of recognition.
Information about clients can quickly become outdated. Mark the period of work and do not present a completed project as ongoing service. An employee's contact should not become public just because they once took part in an approval.
What to open to a specific buyer
Some information makes sense to show after a request: the detailed scope of a project, an anonymised sample document or a process demo. This requires managed access. There is no need to forward the whole working archive.
The recipient should understand the terms:
- which materials are available;
- who exactly has viewing access;
- until what date it is valid;
- whether documents can be downloaded and shared;
- whom to contact with questions;
- how access is ended.
These are product design requirements. Legal grounds and restrictions are determined taking into account contracts, the composition of the data and applicable law. There is no universal checklist here.
How not to lose the source and the approval
One project record can consist of several statements. The client confirmed the fact of the work, a manager approved the text, and it was decided not to disclose the financial part. The system must keep this distinction.
W3C PROV describes an approach to data provenance through the agents and activities associated with a record. Source: W3C. For a working portal, this is a useful basis: record the author of a change, the source material and the confirmed version. Applying this approach to approvals is our design decision. W3C does not propose a legal procedure.
Which automation can be built first
Start with a library of permitted materials. Each document has an owner, status, version and access level. A manager selects materials for a client, and the system creates a separate page with restricted viewing.
For the first launch, manual confirmation of publication and a change log are enough. If you need access via corporate accounts, complex export restrictions or integration with internal storage, that is a separate scope. It cannot be promised as a small configuration without checking the existing systems.
AI can prepare a short digest of the permitted set. In that case, restrictions must be applied before data is passed to the assistant. An instruction “don't show anything secret” inside a prompt does not replace access control over the sources.
How to tell that openness is paying off
Look at which information buyers request repeatedly and how quickly a manager provides it. Separately check errors: outdated terms, excessive access, different versions held by the parties. Reducing such cases gives a clear result even without promises of sales growth.
You can start the discussion with the business network prototype and the transparent proposal. Take one real piece of material and decide which fields can be shown publicly, which to specific people, and which must stay within the team.

Частые вопросы ### Does transparency mean publishing all clients and prices?
No. It is more useful to disclose exactly what helps make a decision and has been approved for use. For different services, you can show the scope and how estimates are made without publicly posting specific contracts and individual terms.
Can access be removed after a link has been shared?
Access to the page can be revoked if the product provides for it. But a file already downloaded or a screenshot already taken will not disappear as a result. This limitation must be taken into account when choosing materials and how to share them.
